IEC has leveraged its systems engineering expertise to meet the challenges of a variety of LONWORKS applications. This experience includes "real-world" engineering projects in the building automation, energy management, communications, automotive and process control market segments. This experience includes the implementation of both embedded and PC based solutions. IEC further leveraged its system engineering background and experience with "real-world" LONWORKS projects in the development of IEC's New ICELAN 2000™ (previously ICELAN-G), based on Peak Components™, the premier LONWORKS network management graphical user interface. All IEC products are designed to be compatible and interface with Echelon Corporation's LONWORKS technology and support EIA interoperability standards. IEC has specialized in network management and has created a product line that is unique and provides advantages to end users based on IEC's Peak Components.

IEC’s integrated DLLs provide a dramatic performance increase versus DDE server implementations. IEC’s next generation of network management products is currently under development.

IEC's current staff of software development engineers have a combined total of over 100years of programming experience, including over 50 man years of working with Echelon Corporation's LONWORKS technology. IEC's staff of full time programmers represent the best team in the industry. IEC’s software staff are experts in all aspects of C, C++, Windows, MFC, Visual Basic, Echelon’s LONWORKS technology, and Peak Components technology.
