IEC has been developing LONWORKS technology applications since 1991, and was a LONWORKS Independent Developer for over six years. IEC Intelligent Technologies provides consulting services in the form of custom node hardware and software design and development, systems integration, graphical user interfaces, and CEA-860 plug-ins.

Products Developed by IEC

IEC's strength rests on its systems approach to implementing LONWORKS technology into complete application solutions. As a result, IEC has developed a range of products that include:

• Peak Components™ to provide a high performance, low cost, embedded and WIN32 alternative network management solution. Peak Components includes client/server software components to support the network management, monitoring and control of LONWORKS networks.
• ICELAN 2000™, based on Peak Components, our graphically based network management, monitor, and control tool.
• PC/104 Adapter, made to interface with LonTalk® network.
• QNX Driver, applications running on the QNX® Realtime Operating System can now access LONWORKS networks through a QNX driver designed to work with Echelon® Corporation's Host Application programming interface.

Companies Using Our Products

All of these products have been very well received by the LONWORKS community. In fact, Echelon used ICELAN as its tool of choice in the System Integrators class. McQuay International and Siebe Environmental Controls both use ICELAN as part of their LONWORKS product offering. The Trane Company has developed both Win32 and embedded applications using IEC's Peak Components API. Both the Echelon Corporation and the LONMARK® Association has contracted IEC to provide custom software to support LonUsers® International, and the ProfileFest.
